Welcome to The Pig and Whistle in Cartmel Cumbria, A friendly country pub situated in the picturesque village of Cartmel within short walking distance of Cartmel Priory and Cartmel racecourse.
We offer a choice of real ales, craft beers, fine wine and spirits in a choice of settings; be it sat in front of the log fire in the bar, seated in the cosy snug , dining in the bistro or relaxing in the sunny beer garden.
Our menu is ever changing and our food is locally sourced. Serving lunchtime and evening menus, With many vegetarian options available and gluten-free options on request. Futhermore, for children we have a special menu and we can happily adapt our portions to suit your childs needs. Every Sunday we have a special roast for you to enjoy and We have the option of nibbles and bar snacks if you are looking for a lighter bite in the bar or the bistro.

Full / Part Time Front of House
We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and experienced front of house team member at our busy, family run country pub.
The role will include both waiting on and bar work but other duties will be required so flexibility is essential. We would like someone with great communication skills who works well under pressure, able to use their own initiative and enjoys working as part of a team.
In house training will be provided, however, front of house experience is preferable.
